McCrory: Plans for special Matthew session forthcoming

At a meeting this morning in Greenville of his hurricane-recovery committee, Gov. Pat McCrory said to expect his proposal around the end of the week for a special session of the General Assembly to deal with recovery efforts from Hurricane Matthew. From a press release:

Governor McCrory announced today that after the last regional meeting, he will submit  proposals to the North Carolina General Assembly to address in a special session likely to be held during the second week of December. The governor stated that his major goal in the short term is to help people affected by the storm, especially during winter months.

The final regional meeting is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday in Kinston.
