NCInnovation (NCI), the state-funded venture aimed at turning university research into commercial successes, has cleared its first performance audit with no legal violations, according to a report released by the North Carolina State Auditor’s Office last week.
“Once again, let me be clear, DEI is dead at HUD,” Turner said. “We will not provide funding to any program or grantee that does not comply with President Trump’s executive orders.”
If enacted, House Bill 192 would establish a new salary schedule for teachers, increasing starting teacher pay from $41,000 a year to $50,000. For teachers with 25 years or more of experience, the salary boost would be from $55,950 a year to $68,230.
The legislature should amend our state’s mandate on financial education to include basic information on investing for retirement.
