In a press release out on Tuesday afternoon, Senate Leader Phil Berger, R-Rockingham, announced the names of lawmakers appointed to interim committees for the 2025-26 legislative session. The North Carolina General Assembly
“As we prepare for next year’s legislative session, these committees will get to work examining the most pressing issues facing our state,” Berger said. “I look forward to seeing what proposals the committees pursue and working with the members to usher their priorities over the finish line.”
The General Assembly is scheduled to come back to Raleigh August 26 -28, and then again on September 22-25, October 21, November 18, and December 16; all for work spelled out in the adjournment resolution passed on July 29.
