The Christian Coalition of America unveiled a campaign Wednesday to collect more than 1 million signatures on petitions that demand Congress “take America back” from left-wing activists.

The coalition and four members of the U.S. House of Representatives held a press conference in Washington and specifically targeted “runaway left-wing judges” who legislate from the bench. Reps. Walter Jones, R-N.C.; John Hostettler, R-Ind.; Robert Aderholt, R-Al.; and Henry Brown, R-S.C. spoke at the press conference, according to a press release by the coalition.

The petition endorses legislation introduced by the congressmen that upholds the inclusion of The Ten Commandments in government and God in The Pledge of Allegiance. The campaign also endorses bills that would ban child pornography.

“We want every American who believes in pro-family traditional values to sign these petitions and to get 10 of their friends and neighbors to sign,” coalition President Roberta Combs said.

“We declare our determination to support the efforts of Congress to take America back from liberal and tyrannical federal judges,” she said.

The coalition will conduct rallies in cities across the nation “to educate Americans as to what is happening” in government, Combs said.

An online version of the petition is available at www.cc.org.
