Friday Interview: States Talk Back to the Federal Government
RALEIGH — The U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and it trumps state constitutions and state laws. Does this mean the federal government can tell state governments what to do? John Dinan, professor of political science at Wake Forest University, addressed that question during a recent presentation for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
