North Carolina Stimulus Spending Grew Government

RALEIGH -- Almost none of North Carolina's money was used to create jobs, improve infrastructure, or help small businesses; instead, it increased social programs, entitlement payouts, and government. Of the $6.1 billion, $1.4 billion patched holes in the state budget created by years of overspending by liberal lawmakers.
