Below are a few stories that caught my attention this week. Most of them are related to identity politics. Unfortunately, identity politics is the new religion for those that have none and the sane are left to pay the price.
Palm Springs’ woke council votes in pilot scheme to pay 20 transgender residents up to $900-a-month for TWO years in universal basic income test — but even city’s trans mayor thinks it’s a waste of money
Even some of the woke are laughing at this story. “Get woke, go broke,” as they say.
“In our worship services throughout Lent, we will not be using any music or liturgy written or composed by white people. Our music will be drawn from the African American spirituals tradition, from South African freedom songs, from Native American traditions, and many, many more,” it said.
It’s great to be diverse with music and worship style, but it’s pretty cringey to make a lawn sign over this and celebrate it as something profound for the Lenten season. Lent is primarily about a spiritual exercise for delaying gratification and orienting our hearts to the source of true life — Christ. Mimicking the culture, especially the one we are in now, is always a bad route for churches.
Crime in New York City is out of control. If you like high crime and high taxes there are few better places to live now.
‘Good morning to our new overlord!’: Woke Twitter employees vent their fears over Elon Musk’s vow to make ‘significant’ changes on platform after admitting his $3b investment for 9% of shares is NOT passive
This is pretty funny. Some Twitter employees are literally quaking because of fears Elon Musk will do away with the censorship of some conservatives on the social media platform.
Sen. Rand Paul’s, R-Kentucky, comments to Fox News summed it up best:
“We’ve already seen some on the left wigging out and saying they are leaving Twitter if Elon Musk is coming. I say, good riddance. If the left-wing crazies trying to censor speech leave Twitter, then it’ll be a better place.”
According to a spokesperson, supposedly this statement is just an “oversight.” At any rate, all this anti-science obsession over race and gender can’t be good for one’s health. I would think a medical doctor should know that much.
