Let’s make one thing perfectly clear about reparations: before you can support a resolution that calls for a commission to study the issue of slavery reparations for black citizens, you must first believe that today’s black Americans experienced slavery firsthand.
There is no way around it. No one can make an honest argument in favor of the resolution that recently passed the Democrat-controlled Winston-Salem City Council (a 7-1 vote) unless they honestly believe that today’s black Americans lived in slavery between the 17th and 19th centuries.
Republican council-member Robert Clark was the only dissenting vote. So, we can likely say that Councilmember Clark does not view today’s black Americans as slaves or victims of slavery.
The Democrats, however, including the council’s black members, D.D. Adams, Barbara H. Burke, James Taylor Jr., and Annette Scippio, not only believe that today’s black Americans were slaves, but future generations will be slaves. Follow their logic. If today’s black American’s are still slaves 156 years after the ratification of the 13th Amendment, which officially ended slavery, then all future generations will be slaves too—at least to the Democrats.
Granted, when slavery was established in America the original plan was for the institution to continue forever. Every generation of blacks born in this country was intended to live in bondage to every generation of whites from the 17th century until today and into the future.
Generation after generation of blacks were originally intended to serve generation after generation of whites. And regardless of our success, our achievements, or how much time passes, in the hearts and minds of Democrats, blacks will always be slaves. Could their attempt to persuade blacks that they will always be slaves be some roundabout way to achieve the generational slavery that was intended from the beginning?
That pesky 13th Amendment is still in place in the U.S. Constitution. So perhaps, the Democrats will take any form of slavery they can get by trying to get black Americans to believe that is what they are.
For the Democrats to continuously try to get blacks to twist their thinking about themselves, consider the perception they must have about blacks in the first place: they must believe that blacks are feeble-minded and witless idiots that need someone to care for them at all times.
Do they believe this? Well, when it comes to Voter ID, they certainly do. Their main argument against Voter ID is that blacks do not know how to get an ID and they’d be emotionally overwhelmed and upset if asked to present their ID to an election worker.
President Joe Biden certainly made it clear that he has a low opinion of the black community and that blacks all think and act the same.
“Unlike the African American community…the Latino community is incredibly diverse with different attitudes about different things,” Biden said during an interview with Yahoo News in 2020. And again, during an interview with Charlamagne of the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM Biden said, “If you have a problem figuring out if you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t black.”
As a black American myself, I believe the topic of reparations is absolutely outrageous. I’ve never experienced slavery and I don’t know anyone in this country, black or otherwise, that has. And anyone that believes that blacks today experienced the hardships that true slaves lived through have absolutely no idea of the evils they endured.
The Democrat attempts to make black Americans believe they are slaves appears to be working among black professional athletes. During the winter of 2018, Lebron James made it clear that he believed that millionaire black NBA players, as well as professional football players, were actually slaves.
“In the NFL they just got a bunch of old white men owning teams and they got that slave mentality,” James said. “The players are who make the ship go. We make it go.”
James’ pathetic attempt to compare the life of a mulit-millionaire black professional athlete to the experience of a slave trapped and chained in the bowels of a slave ship is not only laughable, but it’s more evidence of the horrifying condition of our educational system.
If it were possible, do you think that any slave who was chained on a slave ship would trade places with Lebron James? I think every one of them would. But would Lebron James trade places with them? Lebron James either truly believes he’s a slave or he’s onboard with the Democrat agenda to make all blacks believe that’s what they are. Just like the black members of the Winston-Salem City Council.
Council member D.D. Adams led the charge for the passage of this resolution. As I mentioned earlier, to support this resolution you must first believe that today’s black American’s experienced slavery. Does council member Adams think she’s a slave or has she experienced slavery? How about council members Burke, Taylor, or Scippio? That’s a great question for any true journalist to ask considering that they are black, and they supported the resolution. I, on the other hand, am going on public record as being a black American that has never been a slave.
Council member Adams, and the other black council members, are clearly more than willing to sell their dignity for the Democrat agenda of perpetual generational slavery. They did it, first, by calling themselves slaves; that’s what they did when they supported this resolution. Worse, they’re trying to get all black Americans to do the same by embracing their toxic thinking that will only lead to blacks keeping themselves down.
Black Americans have always been capable of achieving great things. Blacks can reach the highest places, the highest positions, and achieve great prosperity if we embrace the value of education, hard work, determination, and personal responsibility.
But if black Americans follow the lead of Lebron James and the black members of the Winston-Salem City Council, they must believe they have no control over their lives or their future, and that there is no hope for prosperity and a good life.
Why go to school? Why seek higher education? Why do I have to get a job? I’m a slave and my children will be slaves, and there’s nothing I can do about it.
This is the toxic thinking D.D. Adams and the other Democrats on the Winston-Salem City Council want black Americans to embrace.
The Democrats must want generational slavery very badly.
