David Koon joined the Pope Center in June 2009. David was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but has spent most of his life in Gastonia, North Carolina. He recently graduated with a degree in history and a minor in geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining the Pope Center as a research associate, David worked as a research intern for the Pope Center and the John Locke Foundation. He is currently participating in the Koch Associate Program sponsored by the Charles G. Koch Foundation.
