Jim Stirling is a research fellow at John Locke Foundation’s Civitas Center for Public Integrity. Jim focuses on government compliance with the law and best practices, particularly as it pertains to election policy. Jim’s primary focus for the Center for Public Integrity is conducting research on election integrity, analysis of election data, and good governance practices on the state and local level.
Better accountability needed for independent expenditure groups
Many large organizations, including the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Democratic Attorney General Association, and the Republican State Leadership Committee, failed to submit digital reports for their expenditures in the 2024 election cycle.
