Jon L. Pritchett is the Sr. Vice President for the John Locke Foundation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, think tank in North Carolina dedicated to making North Carolina first in freedom. By seeking a better balance between the public sector and private institutions of family, faith, community and enterprise, JLF works to transform government through competition, innovation, personal freedom and accountability. Prior to joining JLF, Jon was managing partner of Tobacco Road Capitalists, an advisory, interim management and consulting firm he founded in 2007.
A North Carolina native, Jon has over 25 years of experience in a variety of companies where he has held executive leadership and senior management positions. From 2009 to 2016, Mr. Pritchett was the President of Club 9 Sports, a boutique, sports advisory firm he co-founded. From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Pritchett was Vice Chairman of French West Vaughn, the largest, privately-held, public relations firm in the Southeast. From 2003 to 2009, Mr. Pritchett was CEO of GSV/AstroTurf USA where he oversaw the turnaround of the company, taking the AstroTurf brand out of bankruptcy to an industry leadership position.
Previously, Mr. Pritchett was COO of Team Sports Entertainment, Inc., a publicly traded company and President of Scheer Sports, a sports marketing company in Charlotte that focused on team, league and stadium ownership, development and management. Mr. Pritchett also spent four years at IMG College as VP of National Sales and served as the Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at the University of South Carolina where he did his graduate work. Pritchett did his undergraduate work at Appalachian State University. He has served on several non profit boards and is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, which is one of 23 National Governing Bodies of the USOC. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Joan and they have four children.
