Max Borders is executive editor at Free to Choose Network, a non-profit organization that uses media to build popular support for economic and political freedoms. He is also an adjunct scholar with the National Center for Policy Analysis. Borders is formerly managing editor of TCS Daily, an online journal, and writes opinion columns for both national and local outlets.

Borders received his M.A. in philosophy from University College, London, England, and his B.A. in philosophy from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. After working as a technology journalist, he became a program director for the Institute for Humane Studies near Washington, D.C. Borders left IHS to work for TCS Daily.com as media director and went on to become policy analyst at the J.W. Pope Civitas Institute of North Carolina. While he was at the Civitas Institute, the Charles G. Koch Foundation selected Borders to participate in the Koch Associates Program, a year-long management-training program that he completed in 2009.
