Sarah Curry is Director of Fiscal Policy Studies at the John Locke Foundation. Previously, she worked for the North Carolina State Senate as a research assistant for the chairs of the Senate Agricultural Committee and headed the research efforts for the Regulatory Reform Committee. She brings a wealth of experience from her work in the private banking sector as an investment counselor and retail banker along with managing and staffing both state and federal campaigns across North Carolina.

She was born and raised in Dallas, North Carolina on her family’s farm. Receiving two athletic scholarships, she moved to South Louisiana where she received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Government from Nicholls State University. She then earned her International Masters of Business Administration with a Plus Certificate in Finance from Gardner-Webb University. Her internship was spent in Washington, D.C. with the House of Representative’s Financial Service Committee where she worked with staff during the TARP program negotiations.

She is a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and lifetime Girl Scout member. Her hobbies include soccer officiating and being a Girl Scout leader. She resides in Apex, North Carolina with her husband.
