RALEIGH — A new advanced placement course in U.S. history has generated serious debate over exactly what information students should be taught in North Carolina public schools about our country’s founding. HOUSTON, TX — As more high schools rush to offer Advanced Placement courses, the College Board says it will soon start auditing all such courses to ensure schools aren’t watering down the program’s standards. The announcement was made this month at a conference.
