The development is funded by the Chief Cares Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Eric Church, a country music star and native of NC.

Gov. Josh Stein signed HB 1012, Disaster Recovery Act of 2025 – Part II, at the reopening of Chimney Rock State Park in western North Carolina.

Having recenty purchased two additional propertise, the country musician plans to build at least 200 homes for Helene victims.

"The land we stand on today sits in the heart of a county that has meant so much to me," said Eric Church.

Eric Church looks to buy more land for Helene victims as the first development has sold out.
