VIDEO: Independent Centers Challenge Higher Ed Status Quo
RALEIGH — Amid horror stories about speech codes, grade inflation, and political correctness run amok on college campuses across the country, there’s been one major positive development in recent years: the emergence of independent academic centers. A Pope Center for Higher Education Policy researcher spoke Monday to the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society about the more than 150 centers focusing on topics such as history, economics, and politics in a traditionally objective manner.
