N.C. Tax Burden Ranks Second-Highest in the South

RALEIGH — With its ranking at No. 17, North Carolina has the second-highest tax burden per person among Southern states, according to the Tax Foundation researchers. Arkansas, at No. 15, barely has the highest ranking in the South.
