State auditor probes Charlotte’s secret settlement with CMPD chief

The North Carolina State Auditor’s Office has announced plans to formally investigate the City of Charlotte concerning a reported financial settlement with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings.
