Friday Interview: Pirates as Economic Thinkers
RALEIGH — With all of their gambling, drinking, fighting, and thieving, pirates still had time to make rational economic calculations. Dr. Peter Leeson, BB&T professor of the study of capitalism at George Mason University, makes that argument in his book The Invisible Hook: The Hidden Economics of Pirates. While at Campbell University recently to speak with students, Leeson discussed key themes from the book with Mitch Kokai for Carolina Journal Radio.
