NC House advances bill prohibiting hemp-derived products under 21
A bill prohibting the possesion and sale of hemp-derived and Kratom products by any under 21 was voted throught to the House Rules Committee.
House committee approves a bill supporting agricultural manufacturing and another using excess tax revenue to fund grant programs for eligible farmers.
The North Carolina House recently voted 78-31 in favor of a resolution urging Congress to oppose a proposed Securities and Exchange rule that could potentially hurt small farms.. Lawmakers say the rule would require small farms to report their greenhouse gas emissions, something they are not equipped to do.
