Election integrity activist Mitchell wants to avoid testifying in NC trial
North Carolina-based election integrity activist Cleta Mitchell is urging a federal judge to reject requests from left-of-center groups to compel her testimony next month at a trial in Winston-Salem. Mitchell filed court documents Thursday suggesting that she has no relevant information in the case challenging a 2023 state law. It changed rules linked to same-day voter registration, or SDR.
