Affordable energy fosters economic growth

NC isn’t the only state where some localities are trying to slow or halt the construction of data centers. But the Institute for Energy Research says, “There is no statistically significant correlation between the number of data centers in a state and its current electricity prices.”

Duke ramps up nuclear, natural gas, extends coal, omits wind in latest energy plan

Duke Energy relies more heavily on nuclear power, natural gas, and coal in its latest two-year long-range energy modernization plan, filed Wednesday with the North Carolina Utilities Commission. The plan holds the line on solar power commitments but calls for no use of wind power.
