Judge throws out NC ‘sore horse’ case challenging federal administrative procedure

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit in North Carolina challenging the process the government used to charge a man with entering a “sore” horse into a competition. The decision arrived one day after the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the case.

Appeals Court rejects injunction in NC horse show dispute

The 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals will not issue an injunction in a North Carolina case involving allegations of show horse abuse. Appellate judges agreed Monday that plaintiff Joe Manis failed to show that he would suffer “irreparable harm” without an injunction.
