As North Carolina continues to grapple with the best way to select judges for the state’s courtrooms, the Federalist Society is adding more information to the debate.

N.C. Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Martin moderated an hourlong panel discussion on judicial selection Thursday in Raleigh. The Federalist Society’s Triangle Lawyers Chapter sponsored the event.

The panel featured Chris Bonneau, professor of political science at the University of Pittsburgh; attorney John Wester of Robinson, Bradshaw, and Hinson; and Robert Orr, former N.C. Supreme Court justice.
