Global warming debate yields different approaches to ‘demonizing’ energy

William Schlesinger and John Christy offer different perspectives on the concept of “demonizing” energy during their Feb. 11, 2009, global warming debate in Hickory. The John Locke Foundation co-hosted the debate with Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Reese Institute for the Conservation of Natural Resources. Schlesinger leads the Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies, while Christy is Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
