No one can possibly know all of North Carolina’s crimes. They’re sprinkled throughout the state’s General Statutes, and some exist because of local governments and regulatory boards. Mike Schietzelt, John Locke Foundation criminal justice fellow, is focusing on a project to recodify the state’s criminal code. He discussed that work Monday during a presentation for the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.

NC clears decades-long backlog of untested rape kits
