Morgan makes it official: He’s running for governor
One day after he was officially replaced as an associate justice on the state Supreme Court, Michael Morgan announced Tuesday that he will seek the Democrat nomination for governor in 2024. Morgan announced this spring that he would step down from the state's high court. Morgan said that he'd had encouragement from some in his party to run for governor, sparking speculation that Morgan could face Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein in the primary.
