Bill to deport illegal aliens involved in crimes during protests co-sponsored by Rouzer

Congressman David Rouzer, NC-07, is a co-sponsor, along with Congressman Dan Meuser, R-PA, on legislation introduced by Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, R-TX, that would deport illegal aliens who participate in criminal activity during pro-terrorism or antisemitic demonstrations, including those currently occupying and vandalizing university campuses across the country.

Federal lawsuit alleges Students for Justice in Palestine is a Hamas front group

Victims of the October 7 terror attacks in Israel are suing National Students for Justice (NSJP) in Palestine, the AJP Educational Foundation, Inc. also known as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) saying they are operating "as collaborators and propagandists for Hamas."

Praise rolls in for Roberts, fraternity for protecting the flag at UNC

On Thursday, Sen. Ted Budd, R-NC, joined the chorus of praise for UNC's chancellor and a group of students who stepped in to protect the American flag from protesters. Nearly half a million dollars has been raised through GoFundMe for the students and country music star John Rich has offered them a free concert.

Senate passes bill requiring sheriffs to cooperate with ICE

The North Carolina Senate passed legislation Thursday that mandates all North Carolina sheriffs cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal agency that issues detainers to remove noncitizens who have been arrested for criminal activity.

UNC protesters remove American flag and fly Palestinian flag; chancellor personally puts it back up

Tuesday on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill, protesters broke through police barricades to lower the American flag in the main quad and fly the flag of Palestine instead. Interim Chancellor Lee Roberts then walked to the quad surrounded by law enforcement officers to put the American flag back up. Counter-protesters surrounded the flagpole and chanted "USA," thanking Roberts for his intervention.
