Brenée is Deputy Director of Communications at the John Locke Foundation. She creates strategic communications plans, writes for the organization, facilitates relationships with the media, directs video productions, and much more.

Before joining the John Locke Foundation, she worked as a fellow at the D.C.-based nonprofit Institute for Justice.

Brenée graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Brenée was one of 15 students to graduate with honors in Political Science. She authored her honors thesis on the politics of Medicaid expansion. While in school, Brenée was a legal research intern, a human resources assistant at UNC School of Law, and an America Counts mathematics tutor.

In her free time, Brenée enjoys kayaking with her husband, watching classic films, and playing fetch with her golden retriever, Parker.
