Duke’s Staddon explains how flawed science skews public policy debates

It’s fair to base public policy on science, but only when that science is sound.

Retired Duke University professor John Staddon exposed problems caused by flawed scientific research during a speech Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. That speech helped preview Staddon’s forthcoming book on the scientific method.

    Unfortunately the title here conveys a misunderstanding. There is no such thing as “flawed Science” as Science is an inanimate process.

    What is at issue are flawed scientists. BIG difference!
