Raleigh, N.C. – Congressional candidate B.J. Lawson announced he signed a bonded term limit pledge Thursday in Raleigh.
Under the pledge Lawson agreed to only serve four terms if elected to the House of Representatives, if he runs for a fifth he must pay the Moore County Sentinels of Freedom $1 million. It’s the local chapter of a national organization that helps veterans transition from the armed services into civilian life.
Lawson is the Republican candidate challenging incumbent David Price in North Carolina’s 4th Congressional District. Fellow Republican Ilario Pantano was also at the announcement. Pantano announced a similar pledge earlier. He’s running against incumbent Mike McIntyre in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.
