North Carolinians add their voices to those of nearly 2,000 people who rallied outside the U.S. Capitol October 2, 2009. The Americans for Prosperity rally highlighted concerns about federal health-care reform proposals in Congress. Speakers included AFP leaders, patients, and two members of the U.S. House of Representatives, including N.C. Republican Patrick McHenry. After the rally, North Carolinians delivered thousands of “Hands Off My Health Care” petitions to U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan.
