Proposed ABC Bill Would Give State More Control

Raleigh, NC – The bill being debated in a study committee of North Carolina’s General Assembly would give the state more control over local Alcoholic Beverage Control boards.

Earlier this year there was rumor the state would privatize some or all of its ABC system. Privatization is unlikely under draft legislation.

The study committees findings are Due May 12th. It’s final scheduled meeting is May 5th.
