Raleigh, N.C. – Thursday N.C. Republican Chairman Tom Fetzer demanded action from the state board of elections in regards to allegations of voter irregularities.
He said he wants to ensure that every vote is counted accurately and fairly after hearing reports that some Republican straight ticket votes were being recorded as Democratic. The votes were cast on touch screen voting machines in counties all across the state.
The Democratic Party says Fetzer’s statements are frivolous.
Fetzer said if he doesn’t get a response by the end of the day Thursday, then the GOP will file a lawsuit in federal court Friday.
