From telecom and biotech firms to local government officials and the N.C. National Guard, a host of business, government, and community organizations hope to get face time with members of the General Assembly during the 2011 session.

Carolina Journal obtained a copy of the calendar distributed during the first week of the session to members of the House GOP Caucus. It lists receptions, meals, and training sessions typically open to members of the General Assembly members from both parties and their staff. In some instances, members of the public are allowed to attend as well. Additional events are likely to be added in the weeks ahead.
