ACC settlements with Clemson, Florida State not yet finalized

More than a month after the Atlantic Coast Conference announced a settlement of lawsuits with Clemson and Florida State universities over media rights and conference exit penalties, the litigation still has not officially ended. The North Carolina Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments on April 17 in the ACC’s lawsuits against the two member schools.

NC Chamber supports ACC in legal fights with Florida State, Clemson

North Carolina’s leading business group is supporting the Atlantic Coast Conference in its ongoing legal disputes with Florida State and Clemson universities. The NC Chamber Legal Institute filed a friend-of-the-court brief Friday at the North Carolina Supreme Court in lawsuits pitting the conference against the two schools.

ACC schools now 0-2 against conference in media-rights fight in NC courts

A North Carolina judge has rejected Clemson University’s attempt to dismiss the Atlantic Coast Conference's lawsuit against the school in a dispute involving athletic media rights. The decision marks the second ACC victory in a North Carolina courtroom in recent months, after the same judge ruled against Florida State.
