Appeals Court blocks ruling that would put Fayetteville council’s future on ballot
A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals has blocked a trial judge’s decision to place a referendum on the election ballot in Fayetteville. The referendum would allow voters to decide whether to change the way Fayetteville elects its city council. The Appeals Court has asked parties in the dispute to submit more information by 4 p.m. Thursday.
