House-Passed Bill Could End Final Exams
RALEIGH — North Carolina students no longer would be required to take final exams under a bill passed by the House 116-2 on Tuesday, with supporters of House Bill 248 saying the tests vary from district-to-district, making it impossible to compare results across district lines. A separate House-passed bill would alter the criteria used to reflect school performance under the A to F letter grade scale.
