The United States needs a new foreign policy, including a tougher line on Iranian nukes, plus an end to Obamacare and other sweeping policy changes that would reverse the course of President Barack Obama’s administration. That was the message Monday from the Texas senator who hopes to take Obama’s place in the White House.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, highlighted key policy themes for a John Locke Foundation Headliner audience in Raleigh. Cruz is seeking the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.

In the video clip below, Cruz answers an audience member’s question about whether Republicans will have the willingness to go through with repealing the Affordable Care Act in 2017.
