Great schools require great leaders. That’s the assessment from a Campbell University education professor and former Johnston County school principal who serves now on Johnston’s school board.

Peggy Smith outlined the elements of great school leadership during a presentation Monday to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, Smith emphasizes the importance of allowing great school principals to remove ineffective teachers from the classroom.
